AQUABLAKK BLOGS 11/03/10 BLOG Firstly, just want to thank all our fans for the support you've given us. As you all know our single ' How ya like it' was released last month and what a fantastic launch party we had at Elements Club in Chesterfield. Actually 'fantastic' is an underestimation of the night, as we performed in front of an amazing crowd while being filmed by Oliver Driscoll, who shot our scenes for our 'How ya like it' music video too. He was assistant cameraman on The Hurt Locker which has just picked up 6 Oscars and 6 Baftas!! Thank you to Nemesis and special guests for coming down to show their support. After this amazing event the anticipation started as we waited to see if we would make it into the top 40,and the result was Aquablakk reaching the no.1 spot in the Independent Uk Music Charts!!

Hey Aquablakk people!!!!!!!!! Firstly we would like to wish everybody a Happy New Year!! We hope you all had a good one! We did!!!! Aquablakk have had a brilliant start to the new year! Good news after good news.. We have been working on our third song in the studio called “Triumph”. More about this track will become available later throughout the year. You can hear this track on the download page it’s not finally mixed but still sounds good! We have all our mixs of “How ya like it” finished and mastered at “Abbey Road Studios”. They have been uploaded to “Ditto music” for pre release and are available to buy now at 79p per track. Heyyy…. Whats up peopleee… hope you are allll good Aquablakk are going through the stages now of preparing for a big year in 2010!! It will all start to kick off as soon as the clock strikes midnight on the 31st of December. We will have the single to release, major shows to attend, promo tour to start and much much moreeee!!! We have news of a Major concert being played in Dublin, Ireland. This will be going ahead in January. We will shed more light on this as acts are confirmed. Last week we played support to Mr Ironik back up in Preston city! It was great see our fans there chanting our songs before we had chance to speak lol and we got to know some new faces who are sure to keep supporting us. Ironik is a real humble dude and shown us love which everyone had much respect for. He is coming to our hometown Chesterfield next week to perform at Escapade nightclub and he has accepted our invitation for a meal before his gig, which is good of him. After our gig in Preston we travelled up to Lancaster for a meal at “The Sultans of Lancaster” courtesy of Kulsum and Amina Kurjee and Naim. This Restaurant was out of this world! The food was gorgeous and the whole place itself just took our breath away! The staff was really friendly and gave us a very warm welcome. We went on to learn that the place was a hotspot for celebrities. With people such as David Beckham and Gordon Ramsay and many other stars opting to eat there. We’d like to say a big thankyou for the hospitality given to us and we’d definitely go back there again. This week, we will be back in the studio to finish off our latest track “Triumph”. We are really looking forward to hearing how the whole track will sound once all complete! We are getting ourselves set for London next week also! We are all buzzing for Abbey road studios! We can’t wait to hear the tracks once they are all fully mastered down there. AQUABLAKK ONLINE STORE IS NOW OPEN!! – Yes that’s right people! Our online merchandise store is now open! Heyyyy.. Whats happenin family!!!???
What's up to all our AquaBlakk fam!! Like it says in the previous blog, the last 2 weeks have been crazy! Things are moving very fast for us with our manager Jeremy Revell and “Revellation Records”. The contacts we have made and the people we have met is just an experience I don’t think none of us thought we would experience just yet. The love which has been shown in St Helens, Dundee and Preston has been amazing and we hope to go back to these places again as Aquablakk progresses! We have come along way in little time, which is exciting but scary as well. We embrace the opportunity which has been given to us and would like to thank all the staff behind us for pushing our cause. Thank you It has been really fun driving around the country with these guys and doing what we love the most! I mean the car was just awesome! A Chrysler voyager with electric doors, DVD player and mini bar! And just a few weeks ago the same car was occupied by “The Jacksons”. This is not something we’re used to lol The impact we have made on the venues we have performed at has been immense and I think it’s sure to say that we have picked up a lot of fans along the way…. We want moreeeee haha. It was great meeting “Bad Lashes” and “Nemesis” in Dundee! Really nice people and we wish them all the best for the future! I think with Nemesis we have made some good friends there and we have both expressed the desire to work with each other in the near future.This week we will be heading back into the studio with record producer “Glenn Boulton”. We will be working on the remix of “step into the light” and hopefully start on the next song “triumph”. Look out for these next two songs!! This Saturday we will be meeting Channel 4’s Shameless actor, Aaron McCusker, who plays “Jamie Maguire” in the hit TV show. We will be having a meal with him and then off to Elements nightclub for an appearance Then on the Sunday we are heading down to Banbury to perform at their xmas lights switch on which will be the last of xmas events. On the 5th of December we are going back up to Preston to open up for a surprise guest who is big in the UK hiphop scene!! On the 21st of December we are heading down to Basingstoke to perform at one of the biggest under 18’s event in the country at liquid night club. We have got a lot to be busy with over the next few months and more performance dates will be added! We have our first single to release in January which we are all excited about! So watch out for updates about the track “HOW YA LIKE IT” We are all looking forward to what the future holds for us and we cannot wait for things to progress. Thankyou to all you people who keep in touch with us and keep giving us support, we appreciate it so much! Keep supporting and we promise to entertain you!

We all met each other back in November 2008. We were all doing
our solo material and trying to achieve our own targets at this
time. We got together to record a few demo tracks and from this
point we decided to create a trio and blend each persons flavours
into a group. We went through a number of names before we came up
with "AquaBlakk". Get ready for the big release of our first two tracks..How Ya Like It and Step into the light!! Lots of love to all our fans Aquablakk xxx |
